Stockholm and San Francisco (2005) pictures are up!

I've finally gotten the pictures from San Francisco (http://www.gamingisstupid.com/pictures/11242005_sanfrancisco/) over Thanksgiving, and Stockholm (http://www.gamingisstupid.com/pictures/06162005_stockholm/) over the summer up and commented. The Stockhom trip is still missing some pictures and footage, but I can't find my damn power cable which will let me dump the content from my phone. Working on it.

My long hair didn't last too much longer after the Stockholm trip and I cut it short right before the San Francisco trip. It's now back to where it was years ago and it feels like home. I missed wearing a baseball cap.

I actulay have not visited the Ice Hotel yet even though it is realtively close(~75km). It's suposed to be pretty darn cool. For anyone who does not know the deal it is a Hortel built entirely in ice. Rebuilt every year since spring and summer has a tendensy to melt the whole thing away.

An odd thing related to the ice hotel is that we actualy export tons of ice every year used for ice sculptures etc. The reason as far as I understand it being that it is realy hard to create big pieces of ice that is good for sculpturing.

The Vasa ship is realy cool and should be visited by anyone who visits Stockholm.

Any reason you haven't made the trip yet? I'm guessing for the same reason I haven't been to DisneyLand/World or the Grand Canyon. When it's always available you don't feel rushed and thus just... never get around to it. :) I'm trying to fix that and make sure I travel more now, but I'm more interested in stuff overseas since I have hit most of the high points in North America now.

It's amazing to think there is an entire industry around ice, but hey... it's really not much different than digging up rocks to make pretty stuff out of is it? :)

Yea, I'd say that is one of the reasons. The other being I don't realy travel much at all. The furthest I have been is the south parts of Sweden and the only country other then Sweden I have been to is Finnland. Once my stuides are over and I have a stable income(i.e. a job) I'll be sure to do some more traveling.

Merry Christmas to all of you as well. I landed in Georgia this morning, so still getting settled in with the family, but there will be some spare time to catch up during the week while we all relax.
